Jocelyn Belanger

Jocelyn Belanger is a Assistant Professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Over the last 6 years, his main research interest has been the psychology of radicalization and deradicalization. He has worked extensively with several well-known scholars in the field of terrorism such as Dr Arie Kruglanski and Professor Rohan Gunaratna with whom he is currently writing a book on prison radicalization. Furthermore, he has had the opportunity of collaborating with the national consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) located in Maryland USA and collaborated on several projects funded by the American Department of Defense. One such project investigated the motivational factors at play in the radicalization and the deradicalization of Tamil Tigers located in Sri Lanka.
