James Horncastle is a PhD candidate in the Department of History at Simon Fraser University. He is also a researcher at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies.

His research interests include Civil-Military Relations, Military History, International Relations, Security Studies, South-East Europe, and the Near East.
