Dr. Aurélie Campana holds the Canada Research Chair on Conflicts and Terrorism and is the deputy director of the Peace and Security Program (Institut des Hautes Études Internationales, University of Laval). She is a member of the Centre International de Criminologie Comparée (University of Montreal).
Her research focuses on terrorism in internal conflicts, the diffusion of violence across movements and border and right-wing extremism in Canada. Beyond the CRC (granted in 2007 and renewed in 2012), she received SSHRC grants in 2008 and 2012 (in collaboration with Samuel Tanner and Stéphane Leman-Langlois) as well as grants from the Security and Defence Forum (Ministry of Defence).
